Latin Rock has become increasingly popular over the past few decades, pioneered by such groups as Santana, Malo, Los Lobos and Mana.  The origin of this unique sound was born primarily in the Mission district of San Francisco, California where Santana and Malo forged the earliest examples of the genre.
